VITAM ET MORTEM
From El
Carmen de Viboral (Ant) Colombia, play an Extreme Death Metal so
powerful and brutal, formed in March 2002; by this time, VetM
sounded in a manner quite different of what they currently do, but
always characterized by a constant search of the most extreme
limits, with a special emphasis on rudeness, speed, technique and
death. The name by which the band is identified, it is the Latin
version of what the Castilian can be translated as "Life in death"
and that in itself implies the band’s ideology, embodied in the
lyrics of their songs, the vision of the world taken from death, a
world that is slowly deteriorating until plunge in a total chaos, as
well as a strong inclination for blasphemous content and opposition
to all forms of dogma.
In early February 2007, the band debuts with their first album,
titled Life in death; this work was recorded, mixed and mastered in
Sinthelia Sounds studies and produced by Cannibal Natives Record, a
plaque that has been playing strong on the national and
international scene.
At present, they are promoting the album in Colombia, participating
in great festivals: the participation in the Altavoz playoffs in the
city of Medellin, winning the first place in the metal category and
thus participating in the Altavoz Internacional, sharing scene with
the international band Sepultura. Besides having travelled almost
all country into a series of concerts that have strengthened and
consolidated the band with a large fan;
They were invited to share the stage with the legendary American
band Obituary, on April 27 in Colombia's capital Bogota.
Nowadays, the band has just published the second musical work titled
"Commanding the Obscure Imperius" a disc that promises to reach to
